Headquartered in Santa Barbara, California, Exploring Solutions Past promotes the worldwide adoption of environmentally-based indigenous practices that demonstrate sustainable paths to conservation, abundance, and prosperity.
Our innovative programs are multi-faceted, integrating traditional sustainable agriculture, community development, environmental education, and cutting edge archaeology. Our goal is to grow the Maya tradition of forest gardening and to support adaptive management of ancient Maya sites.

Logo Inspiration:
Our logo is inspired by the ceiba tree, adored by the Maya as Yaaxché, the tree of life or the first tree of the world.The Yaaxché have great mystical significance in Maya art and culture. Legends tell that leaders were elected under the great trees and their lineage came out of the roots. Planted into the underworld, the ceiba tree connects the spirit world below to our world on earth and to up to the heavens above.
